General Information

 1. Where are the water hand pumps built?

Our water hand pumps are built in rural villages across Sindh, Pakistan, where access to clean water is extremely limited. We work with vetted local partners to ensure these pumps serve the communities most in need.

 2. What type of pump is installed?

We install high-quality, manually operated hand pumps that follow a standardized design. These pumps are built for durability, ease of use, and longevity, ensuring they remain a reliable source of water for years.

 3. How long do the pumps last?

The lifespan of a pump varies depending on the location and usage. However, with proper maintenance, they can last for several years. Our ground team supervises and maintains each pump for one year before it becomes the responsibility of the local beneficiaries.

 4. Who is responsible for the pump after installation?

We maintain and monitor each pump for one year after installation. After that, the responsibility is transferred to the beneficiaries, who are guided on basic maintenance to ensure longevity.

Donation Process & Timeframe

 5. How long does it take for a pump to be completed?

Each pump takes approximately 12-16 weeks to complete from the time of donation. If you have not received your feedback report after 16 weeks, please contact us at info@friendsofcharityintl.org with your donor ID.

6. Can I donate more than one pump?

Yes! You are welcome to sponsor multiple pumps, and each will be installed in a separate location to maximize the number of people who benefit.

 7. Can I request a specific location for my pump?

While we aim to place pumps in areas with the greatest need, we cannot accommodate location requests due to logistical and community-based considerations assessed by our ground team.
